WTF Are Legit Baby Freebies For Parents? I Put Seven Brands + Companies To The Test

Expectant parents, these baby freebies are going to make your pregnancy + newborn journey easier.

So get in on it!

In this post, I’ve simplified the process even more by filtering out brands that will actually give you freebies versus the ones that don’t deliver on their promise.

  1. Huggies Canada

Legit? Yes!

What I Got: My Huggies pack came with 16 Special Delivery Newborn Diapers, a pack of 56 wipes, an info book, coupons, and stationery to write a letter to your baby.

Unboxing my Huggies Sample Box

Thoughts: These Huggies diapers were a Baby BunBun favourite in terms of fit! Put the pack of wipes in the car for baby outings, instead of using them in a wipe warmer. They’re just not made for that.

What You Need To Know: Expect delivery time to take up to 10-12 weeks from the time you sign up. You’ll receive coupons if your baby is over 4 weeks old, so sign up early on in your pregnancy!

2. Pampers Canada

Legit? Yes!

What I Got: My Pampers pack came with 10 Swaddlers Newborn Diapers, a pack of 18 Sensitive Wipes, and coupons.

Thoughts: The size of these Pampers freebies are perfect to have in a diaper bag!

What You Need To Know: The sample kit is currently out of stock but check back often! There is a Pampers Club App that will come in handy if you want rewards for buying diapers.

3. London Drugs Baby Welcome Pack

Legit? Yes!

What I Got: My Baby Welcome Pack came with 16 Huggies Natural Care Sensitive wipes, Medela Purelan Lanolin Cream, Lansinoh Breastfeeding Samples (2 Breastmilk Storage Bags, 2 Disposable Nursing Pads), Cetaphil Baby Wash & Shampoo, Cetaphil Baby Daily Lotion, and coupons.

Thoughts: I like the variety in this welcome pack! I packed the Medela Lanolin Cream and Lansinoh Breastfeeding Samples into my hospital bag, and the Huggies Wipes went into BunBun’s diaper bag. Sample sizes are definitely great for that!

What You Need To Know: The Kinder Surprise of baby boxes, what you’ll get in your baby box will likely differ from mine. These boxes can also be purchased for $9.99.

How to get your freebies: Click here to sign up. You’ll receive a code to redeem in store or online.

4. Enfamil

Legit? Yes, and it’s worth it to go Premium (but not mandatory)

What I Got: Two Packs (48 bottles) of Enfamil A+ Infant Formula Ready to Feed Nursette 59mL Bottles, one pack (18 bottles) of Enfamil A+ Infant Formula Ready to Feed 237mL Bottles, and 3 Enfamil Standard-Flow Soft Nipples

Enfamil A+ Infant Formula Ready to Feed Nursette 59mL Bottles and 3 nipples.

Thoughts: I’m glad I upgraded to Premium! It was a one-time payment of $30 ($39.99 now), but I got over $145-worth of formula, coupons, and shop discounts. I ordered my Enfamil pack in October 2022, got free shipping, and it came in eight days.

I packed a few of the 59mL bottles and nipples in my hospital bag, just in case! The formula shortage awhile back had me a bit paranoid too.

What You Need To Know: If you don’t upgrade to Premium, Enfamil will still offer you coupons and shop discounts for signing up.

5. Amazon Baby Registry Gift

Legit? I was under the impression that I would get an Amazon Baby Welcome Box with tons of cool swag, but maybe that’s only for Amazon.com’s Registry.

What I Got: Two Tommee Tippee Night Time Pacifiers

Thoughts: This baby registry gift was underwhelming for the number of steps you had to complete to get the gift in the first place.

What You Need To Know: You need to be a Prime Member, have at least 20 items in your registry, and spend at least $25 on items from your registry.

After completing these eligibility steps, you can add one of the gift items (they frequently change) to your cart and checkout.

6. Indigo Baby Registry Gift

Legit? Under construction
Thoughts: I was excited to start a registry here, but I guess it wasn’t meant to be.

7. Similac Baby Club

Legit? Yes…

What I Got: Coupons. No samples.

Thoughts: I stuck with Enfamil because I had their products on hand. I didn’t have to go out and create an opportunity to use any coupons for formula.

What You Need To Know:
What you receive from Similac will vary depending on your location and baby's date of birth.
