WTF, Here's A Chanel Hack For Lovers of the Mini Bag Trend!

Micro weddings, micro handbags and microscopic viruses are all trending these days.

We started to embrace the intimate setting of micro weddings.

Continued to resent the virus.

But what do we really think about the micro handbag trend?

Dear Jacquemus bag, my phone won’t even fit in you yet I still love you

A mini bag’s capacity can hold anything from a single Tic Tac to a cellphone - that’s it! If you’re not stupified by how little it can hold, then it doesn’t deserve to be called a mini bag.

These petite bags don’t make sense, like a lot of other things out there that are oh so cute and highly Instagrammable. The accompanying price tag also doesn’t make sense, so don’t try to logic your way into this trend.

Either embrace it or walk away.

Chanel has chosen to embrace the trend, with each season’s luxury handbags appearing to get smaller and smaller.

Lucky for beginning collectors of the French Fashion House, if you’re torn between the high price tag and love for this impractical trend, here’s a hack that can save you hundreds of dollars.

Start with an SLG

Most aspiring collectors already have an SLG (small leather good) in their collection. Make sure yours has a flap closure.

Get a Converter

Converters fit snugly in your wallet, and have two holes for a strap. You can easily DIY one or get one here.

I got mine made in a custom colour that matches my SLG

Choose your strap.

There is a plethora of options. Classic chain straps in different colours, adjustable straps so you can wear your new creation as a belt bag, cross-body, or necklace, and beaded options.

Pearls please.

Your new creation now breathes the air of exclusivity and privileged minimalism. It’s really frivolous fun at its finest.

Should you be convinced to try this Chanel hack, comment below with a picture of your creation! I’d love to see!

(Because there’s nothing as enabling to a Chanel addict as seeing another addict’s bag)
